The orthodontic dentistry practiced at Camden Place is of the functional kind, where teeth are realigned, usually without the need for extractions. Whilst this method can take longer than extraction based orthodontics, in our opinion, the results are far superior.

You can neither be too young nor too old for orthodontic treatment. It deals with the study and treatment of the way our teeth bite together (occlusion). People with malocclusion have crooked or crowded teeth, and may also have disproportionate jaw relationships. Crowding, protruding teeth, deep overbite, open bite, spacing, cross bite and under bite can be successfully treated for both children and adults.

Crowded or crooked teeth are harder to keep clean than straight teeth and are more likely to be affected by tooth decay and gum disease. Orthodontic appliances can be removable or fixed, and are custom-made.  They can be made of metal, ceramic or plastic, and work by applying gentle pressure to move the teeth.

'...then I found The Camden Dental Practice and Mr Austin Hughes. I went into his practice and he asked me, “What can I do for you?”

“Give me a perfect smile!” I said....So he set to work, and boy did he work!
