'Ever since the “birth” of my second teeth I hated them. My two front teeth crossed over and were quite prominent.

As a child, every 6 months my mother used to religiously take my sister, brother and myself to the dentist, at our local clinic. Unfortunately this just led to painful black fillings for us all. No braces, no advice, just fillings.

Later on, when I became a young adult I visited a different dentist and had my two crossed over prominent teeth capped, but they didn’t quite look right. They were unnaturally large compared to the rest of my teeth and they were yellow. Still I hated my teeth.

Then I found The Camden Dental Practice and Mr Austin Hughes. I went into his practice and he asked me,

“What can I do for you?”

“Give me a perfect smile!” I said

So he set to work, and boy did he work! 

First of all he made a mould for my bottom teeth, in order that a whitening solution could be applied. I wore the mould for two weeks during the night and received astounding results, beautiful, bright, white teeth. Next I received 10 porcelain crowns on my upper teeth and the colour was matched perfectly with my new white gleaming bottom teeth. On the left upper side of my mouth I had a one tooth gap, which I had from being about 30. I always felt conscious of this when laughing or smiling widely, and so Mr Hughes suggested an Implant. This worked a treat; there is no difference cosmetically looking in this tooth than the others, and so it blends in perfectly. Finally he replaced my awful black, mercury, fillings, with camouflaging white ones – perfect! 

Through all of this treatment, there was no pain, only a slight discomfort when receiving the local anaesthetic, and I mean slight, because before injecting the needle he applied a cotton wool thing that tasted of Bazooka Joe bubbly gum, which numbed the area where he was injecting. it really is quite amazing. Then once the anaesthetic is in, you cannot feel a thing.  (Although you can still hear Mr Hughes “sing” to radio 2).

Everyone I have met at the practice is very professional, charming and approachable and I would not hesitate in recommending the Camden Dental Practice to anyone.
And as for me, I just love my teeth, and all the positive comments they bring, because, thanks to Mr Austin Hughes I have got the most wonderful perfect smile!!'
