Here at Camden Place Dental Practice we have invested in our very own cone beam CT (CBCT) and panoramic scanner, the Vatech PAX-i3D. With this new technology we are able to provide patients and referring dentist with the highest level of clinical care, accurate planning and placement of dental Implants.
What is a cone beam CT scanner?
Dental cone beam computed tomography (CT) is a special type of x-ray machine used in situations where regular dental x-rays are not sufficient. This type of CT scanner uses a special type of technology to create three dimensional (3-D) images of dental structures, nerve paths, soft tissues and bone in a single scan. Images obtained with cone beam CT allow for more precise treatment planning.
What is a cone beam CT scanner used for?
